The Chinese School of South Jersey (CSSJ) is a nonprofit Corporation that meets the requirements of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. The school is exempt from Federal income tax under section 501(c)(3). Contributions to the school are deductible under section 170 of the Code. The school is also qualified to receive tax deductible bequests, devises, transfers or gifts under 2055, 2106 or 2522 of the code. Your contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by the tax law. Please consult with a tax advisor for further details.

Our staff is purely volunteer-based and our teachers are paid a token salary. To keep the tuition low, we rely on donations for such things as yearbook publications, teacher professional development, academic support, school rental support, and student activities.

There are two ways to make donations to CSSJ
1. Direct Donation. To make a tax deductible donation, please send a check, payable to The Chinese School of South Jersey (or CSSJ) and send to:

If your employer has a matching-gift program, please attach a form (which is usually obtainable from your employer’s website or the HR/Payroll department).

2. United Way Campaign. When making your pledge during a United Way Campaign, please indicate that you would donate to "an agency of my choice." Then provide the following information:
